Yoga photography is a personal interest of mine. I practice and teach mysore style ashtanga yoga, and I find the subtle/invisible aspects of this practice to be worth a lifetime of study. These images represent work from various commissions.
A commission by Third Sector New England to photograph a live performance in Dudley Street of Boston. Theses photographs have been used in web and print collateral for various arts organizations, and printed in a 300 page book. This is a selection of images photographed over the course of two days, from rehearsal to performance.
These images were published in t.e.l.l. New England, Volume 7 under the title “An Urban Food Forest: The Gift of Harvest.” I photographed, researched, and wrote the piece, with editing by Mandi Tompkins. The full feature is available in the digital edition.
